开封市爱心之家志愿者协会（以下简称“爱心之家”）是在民政部门注册的民间群众互助性慈善组织，筹建于2000年，于2003年6月9日在开封市民政局正式注册，是一个全市性、非营利性、联合性、自愿结成的独立社团法人。
“爱心之家”自建立以来的七年时间里，按照“安老、扶幼、援残、助学、济困”的方针，为社会中的许多弱势人群无偿提供了各种形式的帮助，其中有：特困老人、孤寡老人、弃婴、孤儿、贫困大学生、文盲、痴呆弱智人员、残疾人（瘫子、视力障碍者盲人学生）、失学女童、艾滋孤儿、艾滋病人、家庭暴力受害妇女、下岗职工。协会还利用自己从事志愿活动的丰富经验，为政府部门、高校学生开展了相关培训。
“爱心之家”依据以下核心原则为上述受助者提供帮助：
1、协会会员的身份是推动者，他们通过贡献出自己有限的资源从而激发和推动来自全社会的广泛个人及单位参与解决问题；
2、协会工作开展的最终动力来自于会员的信念，即对于他人的爱；
3、协会开发资源时立足于本地且面向全社会（包括：来自社会各界的个人、政府、新闻媒介、农村、学校、企业、其它民间组织、海外机构）；
4、协会尊奉以人为本的原则，即人是我们最宝贵的财富和解决问题的最大资源；
5、协会不仅让受助者在物质上的燃眉之需得到解决，更致力于让他们感到“人间真爱”的存在，并认为这种精神上的帮助是必不可少的；
6、协会希望看到爱心的传递，在促使更多的人参与帮助即被推动的同时，还致力于让他们也能成为一个推动者，换言之，协会致力于让更多人也具有对爱的信念，并认为这才是解决所有社会问题的根本。
“爱心之家”在过去七年里，已经取得了相当的成功：如今她在社会尤其是弱势群体中有着极好的口碑和声望；当地的所有媒体、省级国家级媒体均对协会做过报道；2006年协会被河南省民政厅评为省级先进民间组织，这是全省14000家NGO组织中唯一入选的志愿者组织。

An Introduction to China Love Town Volunteers Association
China Love Town Volunteers Association (CLT) is a non-governmental mutual aid organization that is registered with the Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. It was begun in 2000 and officially registered on June 9, 2003 with the Municipal Bureau of Kaifeng City. It is a citywide non-profit independent association which people voluntarily join.
During the seven years since CLT was founded, its members have helped a large number of people from many different disadvantaged groups such as: senior citizens in financial need, senior citizens without family, abandoned babies, orphans, financially challenged university students, illiterates, the mentally challenged, the physically disabled (including those who are paralyzed and blind), girls who dropped out of school, AIDS affected orphans, AIDS patients, abused women and laid-off workers. CLT has also conducted trainings for certain government departments as well as university students, sharing their rich experience in volunteer activities with these groups.
CLT has at its foundation the following core principles:
1. Our members are facilitators who contribute from their own limited resources, thus motivating various groups and individuals in the community to find a way to meet the needs of the above mentioned people.
2. We are ultimately driven by the faith of our members, i.e. their love for others.
3. Resources come from the whole society and to the degree possible are generated locally (i.e. from individuals, the government, the media, rural areas, schools, enterprises, other NGOs, and overseas organizations).
4. We are people-oriented, meaning that people are our greatest asset.
5. Meeting the immediate physical need, while important, is not enough; we must also help people know that they are loved and that their spiritual health is equally important.
6. We desire to see compassion spread, meaning that people not only offer help to others, but also have a desire to see more people have faith in love. We believe this to be the fundamental solution to all kinds of social problems.
CLT has been quite successful in the past seven years. It has an excellent reputation in society, especially among those who are disadvantaged. Various local, provincial, and national news agencies have reported its work. In 2006 it was recognized by Henan province as an “excellent NGO” and was the only volunteer organization that gained such an honor among 14,000 NGO’s in the province.
